General FAQs

  • There are many ways to do this! You can use the integrated feature found on my website’s Contact page. Click on the Book Now button, choose the type of photo session you’re looking for and you’ll see what’s available. You’ll notice that some items don’t have prices listed; sometimes I just need to know a little more about the project and this may require a price adjustment. You can also give me a call, send a text message, use the form or send me an email. No one’s sent a carrier pigeon my way yet, but I always thought it would be a pretty rad way to receive a correspondence. Don’t be shy! I answer all serious inquiries!

  • For individual headshot sessions, you will typically receive your “proof gallery” one business day after your shoot. In some cases, it will be possible to see the proofs on the same day, depending on the schedule. Once you notify me of your favorites, you will receive your fully retouched images in about 2 business days. Let me know if you need a rush delivery.

The same process is applied for other types of photo sessions, such as events, product & lifestyle photography, family photo sessions, etc., but for delivery, please allow up to 5 business days.

  • Final digital images as high-quality JPG files will be available in a private online gallery.

Shortly after the photo shoot, you will receive an email containing a link to your private gallery and a PIN to download your images. You can easily download the entire set or select only the ones you choose to keep. You’ll be able to access your gallery from any device and download your files as many times as you need. USB drives and CD’s are easily lost or damaged - they’re becoming more and more obsolete! They’re also no longer compatible with many devices these days. Your gallery will remain available for 1 year from your photo shoot date. Please download and back-up any images you wish to keep during that year and store them safely.

  • Yes! A 50% deposit is required to book any type of photo session - whether on-location or at the studio - to secure your booking. This can be done by credit card or a mobile payment service such as Venmo, Zelle or CashApp, etc. Please let me know in advance if cash is your only payment option.

It’s important to note that, if paying by credit card, a 3.7% transaction fee will be added to the amount.

The remaining balance should be paid on the day of the shoot.

  • RAW files are unfinished images and I do not supply these to my clients.

    Think of it this way:

“If chefs don’t serve raw pork, photographers don’t serve RAW files.

    Because safety.”

  • Throughout your headshot session, you’ll be provided several opportunities to see your headshots and are welcomed to share your feedback. If you are not happy with the headshots taken for reasons that are in my control such as lighting and posing, please tell me so that I can make adjustments during your session to make things right. It’s my top priority to create headshots you will love!

If you are unhappy with your headshots for reasons in your own control such as your wardrobe choice, hair styling, and/or makeup choice, you are welcome to book another shoot at the standard headshot session prices. At the next photo shoot, you will have another opportunity to make adjustments to match your styling preferences and I’ll be happy to serve you again with a new set of headshots to choose from.

  • Indeed, life happens! Since you’ll have made a deposit to book in the first place, you’re sure to get a spot at the next available opening. It is always appreciated if a notice is given within 24-48 hours. To reschedule, simply drop me a line or send an email with your availabilities and I will work with you to arrange for a new date and time.

  • As the photographer, I maintain copyright ownership of every image I take. When you purchase headshots (for example), you have permission to use them personally or professionally both in print and online to promote yourself and your business. Other uses may require a commercial contract and an additional licensing fee. Most headshot clients do not require a commercial contract. Please contact me for details.

You are allowed to reproduce your purchased digital images from your photo session for personal use, and for limited distribution to family and friends, on your personal social media account(s), and personal website. Images are not permitted to be altered in any way. This includes, but is not limited to utilizing any photo editing software or even adding filters on web uploads. In the event there was a particular photo or set of photos you’d like to have further retouched or edited, an additional fee of $25/image would be charged.

As much as possible, always credit the photographer (no matter who they are). You can use the following to credit my work:

    • @sharrisonphoto - This is my handle on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, & Twitter

    • Sarah Barre Harrison Photography LLC

A small caption should be added if my work appears on your personal website. I can send you examples of if you are unsure about how to do this.
